    Contents:

Securing a spot in medical school for yourself is not an event but a process. As with any endeavor, this process must be somewhat planned--though natural spontaneity has a place too--hence the "luck" part to the medical school admission process. You're probably well aware by now that your GPA is extremely important in medical school admissions and so is your performance on MCAT (Medical School Admissions Test).

Well, there are more qualified candidates who have "acceptable" GPA and MCAT scores. Therefore, you must somehow position yourself above the crown of other people who want the coveted spot in medical school. Some of the ways you can do so is by engaging in extracurricular activities and research among other things. Thus the link above will give you a more detailed overview of the issues you need to consider in relation to these activities.

Choosing to what medical schools to apply is a tricky subject that must be approached with due diligence because it is an important factor that can increase your chances of admissions. Follow the link above for more information.

Finally, the last link above leads to a comprehensive guide to actually applying to medical school--I hope it will help you to conquer that fateful step in your career.
